I recently stayed at The Old Ship Inn for a few nights and had a fantastic experience. The location was perfect, with everything I needed within walking distance. The room was comfortable and the big king-sized bed ensured a good night's sleep. The evening meal at the Ship Inn was delicious, with a great menu of tasty homemade pub food. The beer garden was a lovely spot to relax in the evening. The hosts were friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about the pub's history. a gem of a pub with excellent service and amenities.
Would recommend this hotel.

The value for money at Old Ship Inn was excellent, with clean rooms and friendly staff. The location was great, with plenty of dining and shopping options nearby. The staff went out of their way to fulfill all my requests.
Breakfast offerings could have been improved with a wider variety of choices.

The Old Ship Inn in Dorchester exceeded my expectations. The value for money was excellent and the spacious, clean rooms were comfortable for a good night's sleep. The staff were extremely accommodating and always had a smile on their faces. The freshly cooked food in the evening was delicious. The location in the center of town made it convenient to get around.
Nothing that I didn't like.

Located in the heart of the city, this hotel offered a convenient base for exploring the area. The friendly and helpful staff made our stay enjoyable, providing us with useful recommendations for local attractions and dining options. Additionally, the central location allowed us easy access to public transportation, making it convenient to explore the city and surrounding areas.
Our room did not meet our expectations. The noise from the adjacent pub's beer garden was a major annoyance, especially on weekends when it stayed open until late at night.

Great location on the main road, cheap but adequate accommodation. Friendly locals and staff who went out of their way to fulfill requests. Excellent pub food, better and cheaper than the chain pub next door. Clean and basic rooms for a value for money price. Lovely welcome with complimentary chocolates and hand made soap. Ample parking on the main road for free during specified hours.
Felt very secure, nothing to complain about.

Excellent location in the center of town. Immaculate room at the back of the hotel, which was quiet. the bed was very comfortable and the shower was hot and powerful. Check, in was painless.
The hotel felt like it was under new management and lacked a caring atmosphere. the rooms we stayed in were clean, but dated.

The staff at the hotel were incredibly friendly and helpful during our stay. They couldn't do enough to make us feel welcome. The beds in the rooms were very comfortable, guaranteeing a good night's sleep after a long day of exploring. the hotel's location was ideal, with convenient access to local restaurants, pubs, and attractions.
There were a few downsides to our experience. the lack of handrails and steep stairs made it a bit challenging for my husband, who uses a wheelchair but can climb stairs.
